Reginald Barton, was a resident of Midsomer Wellow.


Reginald Barton, served as a Wing Commander commanding a flying wing of three or four squadrons during the Second World War. In retirement Barton retired to Misdomer Wellow where he was active in local village affairs serving as a chuchrwarden and as the head of the parochial council. He died of natural causes at the age of seventy-five during the events chronicled in Ring Out Your Dead. He was survived by his nephew Hugh Barton and his cat Spitfire.
