Gerald Ebbs is a character appearing in the episode The Silent Land of the ITV crime drama Midsomer Murders.

A sad and lonely man, Gerald found friends and comfort among the long dead in the cemetery of the March Magna church, especially with the grave of Caroline Maria Roberts, a patient at the Saint Fidelis hospital who committed suicide in the 19th century.

When Adam Peach complained to the Parish council about where his wife was buried, which happened to be in a run down graveyard off the side of a motorway, asking for her to be moved to Gerald's graveyard, someone always opposed his idea. Adam eventually found out that this person was Gerald, the Parish clerk, and visited the cemetery, where he found Gerald and pushed him face down in the dirt of Caroline's grave, and hit him on the head with some stone edging.
